I would like to know if Bronchitol® (Mannitol) is finally available in France and if the study for children older than 6 years has given positive results.

Bronchitol® (TM) has received marketing approval in the European Union since May 2012.
The pharmaceutical company Pharmaxis who developed the drug has wished Bronchitol® be included on the list of medicines reimbursed by French social security. [Please notify that this question was asked on the French platform, and policies vary from country to country]. Then, a negotiation must take place with the Economic Committee for Health Products, which determines the price of the drug, and the National Union of health insurance which determines the repayment rate.
This negotiation is still ongoing, and Bronchitol® will be available for sale once all parties have reached an agreement for the sale price and the reimbursement rate.
Concerning the clinical trial in children over 6 years, it has not yet started.
