Towels: how often do we have to change?
Dear expert team, my daughter (CF, 4 years old) uses in the kindergarten a cloth towel for drying the hands (mouth, face) after washing; those are changed every day, therefore she gets a new one every day. Until now she got every time after washing her hands a fresh towel - in order that she does not use a wet towel with probable germs in it. However I ask myself now, how fast germs grow or it it would be sufficient if she gets a new towel in the mornings and the next new one at lunch time? She is about 6.5 hours in the kindergarten. Thank you Best regards! EM

Pseudomonas aeruginosa and sterilization of the nebulizer
We are parents who want to know when to sterilize nebulizers ? Just before the use? Or after using and letting dry on a paper towel without active drying, in a dry and clean box? Is pseudomonas transmitted via the air? When is the best time to sterilize? Before or after using? Thank you for your answers on this point of hygiene.

Hygiene: the Nespresso coffee machines Nespresso, bacteria nests?
Hello, We have a Nespresso machine at home. We clean the reservoir every day and the capsules box regularly. Since the publication of typical articles below, my CF wife doesn't dare to take more coffee: Http: // bfmbusiness.bfmtv.com/entreprise/les-ma chines-a-cafe-nespresso-des-nids-a-bact eries-933592.html [article in French] Furthermore, in the hygiene brochure published by the French CF Association, it's advisable to dry the dishes with towels changed every day and washed in 90 °. In coffee shops or restaurants, it should not always be the case: which precautions are necessary to take when we have to take a drink or a meal in a coffee or a restaurant? Thank you

Pseudomonas
Hello, My two nephews the eldest 4y and the youngest 11m are suffering from CF. They carry the F508del / 3272 26 AG. The youngest has been screened at birth, while the eldest only now (false negative at birth). The eldest had no care for 4 years. Lungs appear more damaged thereby. He just had a Staph and was treated for it. Now he has a Pseudomonas germ that, from what I read, is bad. He began a course of aerosolized antibiotics for 28 days. Is it normal to get this germ at his Age? Are antibiotics effective? Can he contaminate his little brother? Thank you for all the information you could give us. I must say that the CF Center doctor doesn’t provide a lot of information about their condition. We do not know if it is for sparing the parents, but it’s not easy to know about their heath condition.

Towels
Hello, I have noted the need to wash our child’s towels after swimming but when we go on holiday, it is difficult to take 15 towels ... can we use the towel again if it was well dried? If we put it in the sun for example? Can we use two towels and alternate? And for the bath towel at the beach can we keep the same all week? Thank you. It's really not easy to know what to do, and more when the entourage gets involved and asks us many questions for which we have no answer, it's really hard !! Thank you for your support

Airing at night in the wintertime in case of CF
Hello, I come across again and again differing opinions form physicians, concerning the nightly tilting of the window in the wintertime. One physician says, it is better to keep the windows closed, as outdoors the cold air would be too dry. The other arguments in favour of opening the windows, as the house is heated and even if there is no heating on in the bedroom, the air would be better in any case for CF patients with an open window. Could you give me a clearer answer here? I do already the following: wet towels and water bowls on the radiators, regluar airing and switching off the heating during sleep. Many thanks in advance

Drying clothes
Hello. How long takes the pyo to develop in clothes? My question is, on the one hand, related to the drying of laundry out of the washing machine and, the other in connection with the use of towels and hand towels. What about if you forget the clothes clean but still wet in the dryer? Is there a risk of development of pyo? Thank you for your response.
