Spermatozole
- Question
- Hello,
My 10-year-old son was diagnosed with and had a cyst removed from his left epididymis (spermatozole)... could this be a symptom of cystitis fibrosis? - Answer
- Dear Parents,
In my experience, there is no connection between a spermatocele and cystic fibrosis (CF).
A spermatocele is not uncommon and can certainly occur in boys with CF, but it is not recognized as a cause of cystic fibrosis.
Now that your son has had this spermatocele diagnosed and removed, you don't need to worry that CF is the underlying cause.
I assume that your son has developed well and is not experiencing any symptoms or showing any unusual behavior.
I wish you all the best for your son's health!
Sincerely,
