N30 Pharmaceuticals company
Hello Do you have information regarding the progress of research performed on 2 molecules ((n91115 et n6022) from N30 Pharmaceuticals company? Can we have hope that this type of drug could emerge soon? Do you think that these molecules and the miglustat, based on their mechanism of action, could be polyvalent and have an effect on all mutations? Thank for all you do for parents and patients. Best regards

Smell after drain = danger for health?
Hello, I have come accross on contradictory information during my own research in the internet. I have the problem for a long time, that it smells uncomfortably in my kitchen. The source can not be localized, only one thing is clear: the smell does not come from the drains themselves (there is a sink and a complete shower with boiler and pump in the appartment). In spite of several atempts of the landlord (drain of the shower into the wall has been sealed anew, the pipes that are outside the wall have been completely changed) it continues smelling. One has to say that those works have not been carried out from a company, however only sparesly professionally from the owners of the house themselves. Is that a possible risk for me (CF patient) concerning the germs in the air? Resectively, is the overall showersSituation dangerous for me (boiler, that has to be switched on before showering, in order to have warm water 10 minutes later, drain, from which sometimes water "bubbles up" again)? I am thinking of lowering the rent respectively to look right away for a new appartment. What do you recommend? Many thanks in advance.

Carrier of F1052V and husband negative for 90% of mutations
I am 17 weeks pregnant. During the 13th week of pregnancy I and my husband were tested for the 90% of CF mutations at Horemion Lab. Today I was informed that I carry the F1052V mutation, whereas my husband tested negative for the 90% of CF mutations. Do you thing that we should check the other 5% of mutations in my husband, or are we OK?

Possibility of CF - DF508 traced
Τhe embryo was found to carry the DF508 mutation. I and my husband were tested and it turned out that the DF508 mutation is also carried by my husband. We expect my results (95% of CF mutations checked). We were informed that in case I am found to carry one other mutation, the embryo must be checked again to ascertain if it is a simple carrier of DF508, or if it suffers from CF. a) In case that the embryo has CF can the pregrancy be terminated? b) In case I do not carry any mutation (95% check), what are the chances for the embryo to have CF due to the 5% of the unchecked mutations?

Stays in hospital (continued)
Hello, I don't really understand your answer to my question because I thought my son could catch Pseudomonas aeruginosa or other resistant bacteria in hospital (because it's a place where bacteria are present) and that the recommendations of wearing masks were adressed to the overall hospital staff even though my son is only MRSA infected? Indeed, if the doctor is seeing a patient who has Pseudomonas, he can have one himself and pass it to my son ... Can you please explain to me why there are no recommendations if he has no specific resistant bacteria? Thank you
