- My 5-moth-old son has cystic fibrosis and my aunt was infected with Staphylococcus aureus during a hospital stay several years ago. Today my aunt is a carrier of Staphylococcus aureus in wounds, spots... Can my son visit her or is it too contagious? how does this bacteria transmit? Can they be in the same room without touching? even if they touch the same objects? Thank you for your answers. Have a good day

- Liquid sputum in the morning
- Hello, I am 39 yr old CF patient with F508 del mutation. I am chronically colonized with P. aeruginosa and I have few exacerbations that I can usually handle properly. Since February (and my last antibiotic course), my sputum has became very liquid in the morning, which is disturbing. I have performed sputum examination and they found no new bacteria. I drink a lot of water and I have not changed my drinking recently. Is there anything to do?

- My husband is suffering from CF and carries the mutations G551D/G542X. Do theses mutations express themselves within the cells or does one mutation dominate the other ?

- F1052V and F508del
- We are expectant and near 14 weeks gestation. My wife carries F508del and I carry F1052V. The results of our CVS test revealed that the baby inherited both faulty genes. We would like to know what to expect in clinical manifestations? What treatments might be available? Should we bank the cord blood? But mainly, what degree of CF might be presented.
