- Hello, In our daughter’s (3 years old, CF) day care, a corner will be set up where the children can work with clay by themselves. Since clay has to be kept humid, I am now wondering whether this is suited for her. Do you see any objections concerning germ formation, particularly of PA? Many thanks.

- Coconut oil
- Hello, I heard that coconut oil is particularly healthy, even against fungi, bacteria, etc. As such, wouldn’t it be suited for people with CF? Are there any concerns about cholesterol, as coconut oil is supposed to increase the cholesterol level? Would it be advisable to substitute coconut oil for olive oil, which we mostly use (the virgin variant of both)? Many thanks for your answer.

- Floor drain below the sink
- Dear expert team, My son has CF. In the bathroom in his school, directly under the sink where people stand when washing hands, there is a drain in the floor (much like the ones often found in public showers). One can see that there is always water standing in this drain (which must be rather “old,” since new water will only be flushed in when the floor is cleaned). I am worried that my son, who is standing right above the drain when washing his hands, could inhale some aerosols that could rise when water from the tap flows into the sink and the drainage system below, and that this could ultimately lead to a colonization of his lungs with Pseudomonas. - My son has CF. His grandfather was 83 years old and homozygous with IVS8T5! Did he thus have CF with this? How frequently does IVS8T5 occur in homozygous form? Kind regards.

- air conditioner condensate drain
- Hello, we are planning to install air conditioning in our apartment (recommended in case of high temperatures because we live in Corsica). The installer offers us to evacuate the condensate of the 5 devices in the bowl of our toilet ... Is there a risk of bacterial contamination (including Pseudomonas aeruginosa) because it is the water that will be used for toilet flush. Thank you for your answer
