- Hello, since I (female, 43 years old) have CF allergic asthma, I am having a hard time opening and loosening the secretion in the mornings. I take three puffs or Symbicort® (budesonide and formoterol) before inhaling Pulmozyme® (DNAse). Would it be better to inhale Ventolin® (salbutamol) first (ca. 6 drops) and then Symbicort® only after 1-2 hours? Thank you for your answer.

- Hello, I appeal to you because I can not find on the internet the answer to my question: I was diagnosed with CF at the age of 5 months with Pseudomonas aeruginosa colonization from the beginning. I wanted to know if it was serious knowing that today I am 19 years old? And my mutation is the R569 in the homozygous state, I wish to know much more about my mutation since I have not found anything on the internet? thank you

- I have a five year old child that is outside the growth curves. We did a sweat test in Thessaloniki and it was negative. My wife was very worried, so she was checked at Laiko hospital and the results were negative. Is there anything else we can do? My wife is so upset that our life has changed. I believe that the boy is of small statute due to his genes. Is it possible for the boy to have a negative sweat test and to suffer from CF? Thank you.

- Hello, My 7 month old has CF and since he is two months he takes "pancreatic enzymes" at the beginning of each meal... I wonder what are its effects? How do this drug work? Disadvantages? Its risks? Its duration of effectiveness? Under what conditions this medicine is it most effective with enteral nutrition during the night? How to use it with food diversification I started some days ago? Should we give it before each meal even without milk? Thank you.

- Emergency water supply -- what to do?
- Dear expert team, due to road work until September 2012, our village has installed an emergency water supply system with thin hoses (4 cm in diameter) which is supposed to be put into operation next week after flushing and disinfection. According to the person in charge, this is permissible temporarily, even though the water will be significantly warmer. It is not recommended as drinking water. But what can I do prophylactically apart from letting the water run for a longer time before using it? To me, washing lettuce with boiled water seems unrealistic, and our nine-year-old son, who has CF, has to shower/wash/brush his teeth as well, after all. I am quite at a loss.

- Hello, When would you inhale Pulmozyme®? I feel that the secretion gets looser more easily if I inhale Pulmozyme® first and then wait for an hour before I do physiotherapy. 1. NaCL 0.9% and 4 dr. Ventolin® (salbutamol) 2. Pulmozyme® (DNAse) 3. Symbicort® (budesonide and formoterol) and Spiriva® (tiotropium bromide) 4. Therapy And if I combine the autogenic drainage with the humid inhalation (PariBoy®) and the PEP®, how can I hold my breath briefly with an open mouth? Would it be better to take out the mouthpiece briefly and keep the lips closed?
