Mortality in CF: Hello, I’ve already written once. I am a student of a bachellor degree in nursing. I am writing a thesis on Quality of life of adolescents and adults with CF. In spite of the sad nature of this question, I need to have a complete information on this topic. I need to find out what is the latest percentage of mortality of CF patients. I tried searching for it in ÚZIS, but the latest data is from 2001. I would like to ask you for some more up to date information. Thank you for help and have a nice day. Anna M.; 23.04.2009

chlorides in sweat: Hello, My 19-month-old daugher suffered from pneumonia three months ago, treated by Clarithromycin, barking cough prevails, greenish nasal discharge, no fever. She was sent to the hospital for sweat test with borderline results 50 mmol/l. Blood test results show mild leucosytosis, throat swab test results - ++streptococus beta-hemolyticus sensitive to PNC. Genetic tests will follow to confirm or exclude genetic mutation. I am deeply concerned that my daughter will be diagnosed with CF. Could you please let me know if the above stated results can possibly say that my daughter does not suffer from CF? Or, is it more or less clear? e-flow: Hello, I would like to ask the users about their experience with this inhalator. I am considering to purchase this inhalator but was unable to find any information on the internet except for technical data. Is the quality of inhalation at least comparable to the inhalation with Pari Master? How often do you have to replace the membrane? What is the availability and price of the new membranes? sweat test: My son was tested for chloride in sweat twice at different places. The values are borderline: 38,86(Kyjov), 34,46(Brno). Should we be concerned that our son suffers from CF?; 23.04.2009

CF Centers in Spain: My daughter with CF is now 19 and she wants to go to Spain for a year, at best to Valencia, which is not a condition. Due to necessary regular check ups, sputum testing and so on we are searching for some CF Centers in Spain, Valencia. Could you please provide us with some contact? CF Diagnosis: Hello, my five year old daughter underwent sweat test regarding permanent mucosity and the result was first 31, second 30. Does it mean that it is negative? Or should I ask for genetic testing. Thank You for an answer.; 23.04.2009
