- Genetical tests were done in the whole family in 1992 without assessment of mutations. One mutation was detected in a sick child (F508 and R553X). Is it possible to assess this mutation in the second daughter in connection with the fact, that she was diagnosed as being a carrier? Regarding the second daughter's family planning: is it possible to assess mutations in her partner? What should be done in such situation?

- My son 20 years ago underwent genetical testing in Poznań. It turned out, that he has F508 del mutation. On this occasion his mother, father and sister were also tested. Does it make any sense to perform another genetical testing in my son? Will the results of the tests influence the possible ways of treatment?

- Influence of medication on memory
- I read something about the influence of medication on the memory of people with CF. Can you supply some info about this? What medication does what to my memory? Or is it something that most people with CF suffer from anyhow?

- My girlfriend has a mild form of CF. We would like to go live abroad for a year. We have a full list of CF hospitals worldwide where CF specialists are available. But now my question is: which countries are OK to go to and which are not good, with regards to temperature, air humidity etc.

- Yesterday my 7 year old son had the annual check at the CF Centre. ERS, ultrasound was normal. We still waiting for culture result and some biological sample. We also met an ENT specialist who told us that the hearing test (audiogram) is pathological because of fluid accumulation in the middle ear and mentioned an operation for adenoid tonsil; we should meet him in 3 weeks. The boy had the same problem 2 years ago, he had some chamomile inhalation and everything was O.K. We mentioned to the ENT specialist, but he did not give us a clear answer. I would like to know if this is typical for CF and what can we do to avoid operation.
