- Positve antibodies to Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- My son, 14 years old, was diagnosed in August of being positive for antibodies (against Pseudomonas aeruginosa). Sputum has been always negative so far. He was treated with Ciprofloxacin and Colistine. When should we check the antibodies again? I am not sure what to do as I have received very different answers from the CF clinic. Does it make sense to control sputum resp. swabs monthly now? I am looking forward for your answer.

- RNA Therapy
- Hello, There is gene therapy, protein therapy and now RNA Therapy. What is it about ? And above all, would positive results in RNA therapy address all patients (such as gene therapy) or would it depend on mutations (such as protein therapy)? Thank you in advance for your answer.

- Brushing your teeth
- Hello, I'm going to be two years old and I'm starting to be interested in toothbrushes, but as I have CF, I wonder if it's necessary to use mineral water to wet the brush, rinse the mouth and rinse the brush? It makes a lot of mineral water in this case...

- Travel to Africa
- Hello, What are the precautions to take on vacation in Africa (Mali) for a 2-months-old CF baby? We have planned bottled water to avoid water from the well and also batteries for the nebulizer. The most annoying for us would be 1) the meals that will not necessarily be enriched in fat and 2) hygiene quite relative. Thank you.

- Vitamins and CF
- Hello My 6-year-old CF son was diagnosed only last year. We don't live in France however we could visit a CF Center in France on 2 occasions. He has ADEK, E and D vitamins from the beginning (after blood test) and K vitamin for 3 months (without any blood test). Do I have to give him vitamins all the time or do I have to repeat the blood tests to see if he still needs? I am a little lost because I cannot return to the CF Center and I know parents of a CF child who only gave certain vitamins for a limited time to their children. Thank you very much for this forum.

- CT-scan and x-ray in children
- Hello, I wonder about the interest for an annual chest x-ray to an asymptomatic baby, carrying only staphylococcus (methicillin sensibel). Is it possible to perform the x-ray only every two years rather than yearly as long as it remains asymptomatic to limit its exposure to radiation at this age when they are so sensitive? I have read that the CT scan at the age of two years is a standard of care in some CF centers. Is this true? Thank you very much.

- To clarify or not
- Our daughter is 2.5 years old and has had the fourth pneumonia. Once in hospital with RS virus. And she has frequent infections (scarlet fever, bronchitis), 11kg/100cm. The pediatrician is of the opinion, that a sweat test would not be necessary due to the lack of severity of the symptoms. There are no findings genetically, as our child is adopted. Shall we make a sweat test or not? Best regards,
