our son has CF. We have been to the ice scating stadium recently and suddenly there came from above smoke/dry ice? - we do not know what it was. We have asked ourselves, if the breathing in could be a problem because of CF-germs, especially Pseudomonas? - Answer

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an environmental germ, which can be found especillay in humid areas. In the cold the germ does not feel very well, it can not multiply well under cold temperatures, probably just survive. Therefore the germ presents with a high probability no problem in the winter, at doing ice scating and it is very improbable that the germ is present in the smoke of the dry ice. Your son can therefore appreciate the ice scating without any danger.
