Soap bubbles/ Soap bubbles 2

Question
Hello,

I would like to know if Pseudomonas germs can proliferate in soap bubbles and if our child can be infected that way. Many thanks for your reply.

(Soap bubbles 2)
Hello,

The question was more if Pseudomonas can proliferate in the container filled with soap solution itself, for example in a "Pustefix" container.

Best regards

Answer
Hello,

First of all I am sorry that you had to wait for an answer for so long. Unfortunately, it happens sometimes that we are not aware of the fact that an expert is on vacation.

Regarding your question: I assume that you mean such small or big soap bubbles that children like to make (e.g. "Pustefix" [brand name in Germany]). Such soap bubbles do only have a "expectation of life" of some seconds and this is not sufficient of course for the proliferation of Pseudomonas to an extent that could cause an infection problem.

If this was not your question please ask again.

Best regards

Hello,

No, you do not have to be afraid of this; otherwise you would have to be afraid of each bottle of washing-up liquid. This solution, which ingredients are not known to me unfortunately, does not belong to the typical residences of Pseudomonas et al.

Best regards and have fun with the soap bubbles.
