- Dear questioner,
There may be several reasons for hair loss. They are not related directly to cystic fibrosis. The main reasons are imbalances in hormone levels (e.g. of the thyroid gland), poor diet, sebum in the scalp, infectious reasons (e.g. fungal infections) and psychological reasons. In rare cases some drugs may cause hair loss as well. In addition, numerous trace elements and vitamins, which can not all be listed here, can cause hair loss if there is a deficit or sometimes even an overuse.
I would recommend to consider these possibilities and apply to the specialist for specific reason.
