Hair dryer
- Question
- Is it possible to dry my daughter's hair with a hair dryer ? Could that air be harmful ?
- Answer
- Hello,
The hair dryer includes a motor actuating a blower mechanism, and an electrical resistance, so that air which rushes on one side out of the other with a higher temperature. This warm air meets the water of the wet hair, heats it and then turns water into steam. There is no indication against the use of hair dryers in cystic fibrosis. However, the air filter should be cleaned regularly (avoid dust accumulation) and the hair dryer should be used in a clean and regularly aerated area (basic hygiene)
Sincerely
