The bleach at school

Question
Hello,
In September, my granddaughter will start school. In public facilities, bleach is prohibited. Can you tell me if there are other effective and inexpensive products used to clean toilets and sinks? Thank you in advance.
Answer
Hello,
Your question reveals the difficulties to choose home hygiene products and it's not so simple.
First of all, I propose a few important reminders about bleach.
It’s a disinfectant (it kills bacteria, mold, spores and viruses) but it's not a detergent. And to disinfect with bleach, the surface must first be cleaned and rinsed, otherwise the bleach does not disinfect even if it whitens: “We can well disinfect, only what is already clean”. You can visit this site which explains the difference:
www.bmc.nc/web_41/pdf/BM4120.pdf
Bleach should be used cold and should not be mixed with other products (a chemical reaction between the products could reduce its effectiveness and, in the case of a mixture with an acid, there are risks of toxic inhalations). Bleach is therefore used for disinfecting surfaces, floors, sinks ... once they are cleaned and rinsed.
And to answer your question, we can find on the market and in shops very good "detergents and disinfectants": cleaning and disinfection in one product. Here, for example, a site of detergents and disinfectants at discount prices that you can order by internet: www.robe-materiel-medical.com/materiel-medical-Nettoyant+Desinfectant+sols+et+surfaces+5+litres-SURF3D.html

In addition to this little reminder about the use of bleach, I hope that answers your request of attentive grandmother.
Sincerely
Marythé Kerbrat
