I have a 4 month old baby suffering from cystic fibrosis. I have heard about Meveol® as a treatment that would be quite effective against recurrent infections. Could you give me some news regarding the research about this drug. Will this drug be available for children?

Regarding research about this molecule, it appears that a clinical trial is planned in 2012, following the parternship between Alaxia (French Lyon-based biotech company that developed Mévéol) and Stragen (a Swiss pharmaceutical group): www.alaxia-pharma.eu/sites/default/files/pdf/CP_Meveol_Alaxia_Stragen_en_2012-01.pdf
To date, it is impossible to say whether the Meveol® will be accessible to younger people.
