I am 46 years old, have CF and was thinking about giving blood or plasma. I wonder if this is actually good and whether this blood can be used for other people without hesitation? If so, wich is better for me: giving plasma or blood?

- Dear questioner,
it is very noble of you to consider donating blood; thank you for your good will! Unfortunately, though, people with chronic diseaeses (like CF) cannot be considered as blood donors. This is not due to any concerns for the blood receivers but only for your own protection given your CF.
