I’ve read that the FDA has not approved Ataluren®. I want to know if there is still hope concerning this molecule. What is the goal of the open study?

We haven't any news from the pharmaceutical company, PTC Therapeutics who develops Ataluren®, regarding this molecule.
The open study allows patients, who have participated to the phase III trial, to have the treatment if he/she wants when the clinical trial is finished.
