Wood granule sealed stove

Question
We have a son who has CF. We plan to buy a wood granule sealed stove. What do you think about this choice? I would like to get a medical advice, thank you.
Answer
Hello,
The sealed combustion stoves of wood granule are the modern, practical and effective version of the traditional wood stove. The granule provides undeniable advantages. It is cleaner than the log, avoids handling and allows an autonomy of a few days which is impossible with traditional devices.
Installation and maintenance of the heating means are subject to safety rules that must be followed to avoid the risk of fire or poisoning due to badly evacuated combustion fumes.
Particular attention should be paid to the correct setting of the device by the installer in order to get, for everyone's comfort and the health of your child, a good air with an adequate temperature and an adequate moisture degree.
These general precautions being taken, I do not see what would be the specific risks of this type of heating for a CF patient.
Hope that answers your question.
