MRSA

Question
Dear Expert team,

Concerning the employment of a babysitter who had close contact seven years ago with a person, infected with MRSA, we are uncertain whether
1. the risk of transmission of MRSA from the babysitter to my CF child is justified
2. Whether MRSA is easily identified and who could do it and how much does it costs.

Many thanks for the answer and greetings.
Answer
Hello,

Your concern is most probably not justified. Nevertheless, I would suggest to have the MRSA status of the babysitter checked by a microbiological institute (at every medical university institution). Costs are reasonable.

I hope that this helps

Yours sincerely
