Novelties on Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Question
Would it be possible to know where the research stands on Pseudomonas aeruginosa worldwide? Is there any new antibiotic? Thank you.
Answer
This is obviously a questions with many aspects. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the focus of multiple research in the context of cystic fibrosis. To date, on a clinical point of view, these research has resulted in the recent release of new formulations as dry powder for inhalations of already known antibiotics (colistine, tobramycine, aztreonam lysine). These novel formulations allow an easier use of inhaled therapies with the objective of limiting pulmonary bacterial load, thus reducing loss in lung function and disabling respiratory symptoms.
