Vaccine against Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Question
- Hello
There was a clinical trial for Pseudomonas vaccine. What are the news about this clinical trial? Are results available?
Thank you.
- Answer
- Hello
In February 2013, a question on this subject has been listed on the site, here is the answer:
“A phase II/III clinical trial is ongoing in Europe regarding Pseudomonas vaccine:
www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01563263?term=%22vaccine%22+AND+%22pseudomonas%22&rank=1
800 patients (over 18 years admitted to an ICU with need for mechanical ventilation for at least 48 hours) should be included.
Patients will receive (according to randomization):
- 2 vaccines injections IC43 at J0 and J7
- or a placebo
The study should be completed in 2015.”
No other information available, inclusions are ongoing.
Best regards,
Anna Ronayette
