Increased antibody titre

Question
Hello,
how do you judge the following antibody values:
EXO: 1:1241
AP: -
ELA: -
In the swab, Pseudomonas could never be detected until now.
Many thanks and best regards,
Answer
Hello,
it is not clear from your question, if you suffer from CF and what is the background of your question.

In case of CF, the serology in order to detect Pseudomonas antibodies is recommended for different reasons.

In case P. aeruginosa has never been detected before, the detection of antibodies is a screening investigation (I assume that this constellation is meant).

Here the detection of antibodies (titre higher than 1:500) of a single of the three tested antibodies is judged as positive and as a hint of a possible colonization respectively infection with P. aeruginosa.

The ongoing procedure depends on the clinical context and should be discussed with the treating CF physician.

Best regards,
