Laundry

Question
Is it better to wash clothes of my 3-year-old CF my daughter in isolation or may it be mixed with the clothes of all the family?
Answer
Hello
I understand your question and I can assure you that there is no risk to wash clothes for all the family at the same time:
From a temperature above 60 ° C and together with a detergent,
bacteria and viruses do not resist, and a disinfectant (whatever) will do nothing more in terms of disinfection.
By cons, if you wash your clothes at 30 ° C or 40 ° C, a disinfectant or use of the dryer (not dangerous for the environment) or iron (not dangerous for the environment) will eliminate some germs still present.
To my knowledge there is no report of bacterial colonization of a CF person from a clean non-sanitized.
If the laundry is lightly soiled washing, the effect of a disinfectant seems limited or even useless.
I just hope I have answered your questions
Cordially
