Hygiene and cleaning of the house

Question
Hello,

Which are hygiene rules to be respected in the home of a CF baby about:

- washing powder knowing that the clothes of a baby can be washed in no more than 40 degrees.
- the dishwasher, how and when disinfected?
- the refrigerator?
- the cleaning of the work surface and toilets + bathroom?
- what is it necessary to disinfect or not?
- is a steam cleaner effective to clean a bathroom to avoid the use of chemicals?
- how long is it necessary to sterilize feeding-bottles and teats?

Thank you for your help

The steam cleaner uses the water and a big quantity of heat to destroy bacterial proteins. This process is interesting because it respects the environment (just water) and it reduces the allergic risks (no contact with chemicals). On the other hand, to be effective, it’s needed a temperature of exit of 140 ° with a pressure from 4 to 6 bars and steam cleaners sold for a domestic use do not have all this power.
If certain safety regulations are not respected during the use, there is a risk of burns.
For the feeding-bottle, a disinfection could be done during the first months of the baby. The really most important are to clean in the wash liquid and to rinse in the hot water quickly after use.
