Playgrounds
- Question
- In outdoors parks or playgrounds there are sometimes water and/or “mud corners”.
How high is the risk of transfer of pathogens?
- Answer
- Hello,
According to my knowledge there are no scientific studies about the bacterial load of water playgrounds. It can be assumed that there is a relevant bacterial exposure of coliform bacteria and also of pseudomonads. Please avoid in any case that the water is drunken. How high the risk of infection is “at play” depends on various factors and cannot be quantified exactly.
