blurry sinuses

Question
Is it possible to have a negative CFTR sequence and totally negative sweat test (27 mmol/l). I am a 39 year old male. I have chronic sinusits for the last 4 years, especially during winter, spring and autumn. My vitamin D is rather low (26.8).
Answer
Dear friend,
What do you mean by a negative sequence? Did you have a genetic test and no CF mutations were detected? If you had a sweat test, the value you report is within normal limits. Clinically, you are healthy except for a sinusitis that bothers you. I would like to know if you have any children.
Dear friend, there is nothing wrong with you. We all have something, but having sinusitis does not mean you have CF. The patients with CF have blurry sinuses on X-ray, but that does not mean that each person with sinusitis has CF, which is most improbable.

Yours friendly,
