Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Question
Hello,
I'm a mother of a 1 year old CF boy. I wanted to ask how could I know if our child has Pseudomonas aeruginosa outside the swab throat. Are there any warning signs?
Answer
Dear Madam,

There are usually no warning signs that may alert you, outside the "missing effect" of oral antibiotics commonly used in young children when respiratory symptoms are present. However, this situation is not specific to the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and the lack of response to antibiotics can have many other causes (drug doses or duration of inadequate treatment, poor attachment therapy due vomiting ...).
