Phlegm in stool
- Question
- Hello,
I have CF, take pancreatic enzymes (Kreon 25 000) and have phlegm in stool. Is it normal in CF? Thank you for your reply.
- Answer
- Hello,
Phlegm in stool is not a typical CF symptom. It is important to know your dosage of pancreatic enzyme substitution (Kreon) and your elastase 1 level in stool and also to know results of other tests and also whether you have any other difficulties. I recommend talking to your CF specialist who can eventualy send you for a detailed gastroenterological testing because there may be number of reasons causing phlegm in stool.
