Career aspiration: Restaurant specialist

Dear Sirs,

My son (19) would like to start an apprenticeship to become a restaurant specialist/restaurant operations trainee [in German: Restaurantfachmann]. Is this possible despite his Pseudomonas findings?

Hello,

Generally speaking, the colonisation with Pseudomonas does not argue against starting an apprenticeship to become a restaurant specialist. However, there are other things a CF person should consider regarding career aspiration: shift work, burden and the possibility to reduce the weekly working hours – all these things are probably a bit more problematic in the field of gastronomy than in many other careers.
