the "dry eyes" problem (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) belongs to those symptoms among CF patients that are rather frequent but usually not very strongly developed. A Polish study showed the problem in more than 80% of CF patients tested.
One has to assume that the cells producing tear fluid suffer from the same salt problem and therefore do not function properly.
