Sinus pulsating aerosolsystem

Question
Are there clinical studies about using the pari-sinus with CF with principally sinusitis problems?
Is there somebody with experience with the pari-sinus?
Answer
Dear questioner,
Thank you for your question.

The PARI Sinus pulsating System is designed to allow nebulization and delivery of aerosol directly to the sinuses. This may be used to treat upper airway conditions including chronic sinusitis, rhinitis, and allergies. The aim of this system is to deliver aerosol directly to the affected area and thereby requiring less medication and avoiding potential side effects.
There is a clinical study on sinonasal inhalation of dornase alfa using this particular system in CF. Five CF patients were randomised to inhale either dornase alfa or 0.9% saline for 28 days and, after a wash-out period of 28 days, crossed over to the alternative treatment. Promising results were found in this small study in quality of life measurements specific to chronic rhinosinusitus symptoms suggesting the effectiveness of dornase alfa when administered sinonasally using the novel PARI-SINUS™ device.
Speak to your CF team about your options for therapy.
