Ciproxin® (ciprofloxacin)

Question
Is it okay to get vaccinated against H1N1 despite taking ciprofloxacin?
Answer
Hello,
my answer is: "antibiotics therapy first" and then flu vaccination, if antibiotics are given due to acute impairment. This refers to both intravenous antibiotics therapy and antibiotics in the form of tablets or inhalation.

Patients doing a long-term antibiotics therapy (without acute impairment), both by inhalation and orally (tablets), can (and should) get a flu shot (against both the regular and the swine flu).

Kind regards
