Fibroscan exams

Question
Hello,

is there any experience with Fibroscan® liver exams in Cystic Fibrosis?
Answer
Hello,

this is a moderate exam that only takes a few minutes. It is a special analysis of the ultrasound exam of the liver which tries to use the "compressibility" of the liver tissue as a measure for the CF-related liver disease. I could find three publications on this exam method in cystic fibrosis. All of these were positive, but they also called for further tests (larger patient numbers) before ultimately judging the usefulness of this additional information.

Kind regards
