- Dear questioner,
unfortunately it is not clear, if you suffer from CF. Until now, there are only a few case reports about infections with Segniliparus rugosus in patients with an underlying lung disease (CF and non-CF). This bacterium belongs to the group of gram-positive, acid resistant bacilli and is related to so-called Rhodococcus spp. or better known as mycobacteria spp.
The experience concerning therapy of this germ is therefore very limitied and is based on in-vitro resistance testing and therapy trials in the frame of the mentioned case reports.
