PSA (prostate-specific antigen)

are there any hints/investigations/statistics for increased PSA-levels in male CF patients?
CF patient
46 years old
PSA-level increased from 3.6 to 7.1 in 21 months, first biopsy 14 stamps negative.
there are no published investigations about increased PSA-levels in CF patients. It is not known that CF patients have increased PSA-levels due to their illness, but of course like all other men they can have an increased PSA-level and can also get a carcinoma of the prostate even if there is not much information about this. One reason for this is for sure that up to now only few patients suffering from CF reached the age when men typically get such a tumor—that is in the old age. That will change in the future hopefully. However, there is one publication from China that reports that the risk of getting a prostate carcinoma is decreased with CF mutations.

Yours sincerely,
