Is there another special nutrional formula for babies apart from Cystilac®?

- Hello,
unfortunately, my daughter does not tolerate Cystilac®. Is there a special milk formula for babies with cystic fibrosis from another manufacturer?

- Hallo,
an inquiry with several manufacturers showed that Cystilac® is indeed the only special formula of its kind for babies with cystic fibrosis in Europe. Therefore it would definitely be recommended to use it. You should discuss your daughter's intolerance with your treating CF physician and/or your pediatrician again in detail. Perhaps the symptoms of her intolerance can actually be traced back to some other cause; or perhaps she only shows them sometimes and they only occurred initially, so that you could begin with Cystilac® again slowly and then increase the dosage.
