- I've read in an article that life expectancy of CF patients is 39 years ; but is it possible to hope a much longer life ?

The life expectancy of a population is by definition an average statistical value derived from complex calculations. This value must be interpreted with great caution: it applies to a population of patients and is just an indication of a trend for a given individual. In fact, the evolution of the disease depends on many individual factors that make the life journey of each patient unique. These factors are genetic (the influence of genotype and gene called "modifiers") and environmental (influence of a lifestyle more or less healthy, exposure to toxic factors, allergic or infectious ...).
I encourage you to search the site ECORN-CF in the topic list, the item "Life expectancy". You'll find a previous answer on this question. For example, the age of the oldest patient enrolled in the French CF Registry, is so far, 78 years.
