- I´m working on my dissertation thesis on the topic of CF. Can you recommend a source of information about the newest methods of curing CF, the prognosis of the disease or any research that is under way in this field at the moment? So far, I have found only literature published up to year 2008. I will be very grateful for any more up-to-date information.

- Hello,
We're happy that you've chosen the topic of CF for your thesis. The latest comprehensive Czech book on CF is: V. Vávrová et al: Cystická fibróza, Grada, 2006. Another source is the February 2008 edition of Czech Pediatry (Česká pediatrie) magazine, which explores the topic of CF in great detail.
A great deal of CF literature can be found on the Internet, mostly in English. A lot of information can be found on the web of European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS) – www.ecfs.eu, who also publish their own magazine. I´m sure you will find sufficient information there.
I don't know where you are studying, but there are CF centres in 5 Czech cities – Prague, Brno, Hradec Králové, Olomouc and Plzeň. CF specialists work in these 5 cities and I'm sure they'll be happy to help you.
