my daughter is three years old and has CF. I would like to know whether she can play in the yard. She likes to go out into our yard and plays with dry soil. - Answer
- Dear questioner,
it is important for children to be allowed and able to be outdoors and play. Unfortunately bacteria, which can become a problem especially for people with CF, are present everywhere. It is almost impossible to avoid contact with them. It is not known, however, whether playing in the outdoors increases the risk for children to catch such a germ.
