Contamination
- Question
- What is the danger and evolution of a microbial contamination with Serratia? Thanks.
- Answer
- Only very few data are available in the medical literature about Serratia marcescens -wich is is a gram negative bacillus- and cystic fibrosis. It can be found in case of an acute respiratory exacerbation, but it is currently impossible to tell you more about this microorganism: is it responsible for an excess of acute exacerbation ? What is its role in a possible pulmonary function test degradation?
