- Well, I would like to make me a lip piercing, but I'm suffering from Staphylococcus aureus. Is there a contra-indication? I don’t find informations about it on the web. Thank you.

Piercing can cause a variety of complications. The infection is the most common. Staphylococcus aureus bronchial colonization theoretically increases the risk of local superinfection. The aseptic conditions during the piercing placing must be rigorous. Other complications observed were haemorrhage, local oedema (often with pain and that can reduce the capacity to eat for a few days), dental trauma of contact, accidental inhalation of the jewelry. In short, it’s not an insignificant act. Inquire well about the conditions of its realization.
