Stenches in the house

My 3 year old daughter has cystic fibrosis. We had a leakage problem last year. And since, we have stenches in the house like smells of sewer. Is there a danger for my daughter? We tried disinfecting sprays without success. The smell comes back. What can we do? Thank you for your answers. Cordially.

I'll try to answer you without having all the elements of your case.

If you still have unpleasant odors for a year despite trials with deodorant bombs, at least two hypotheses are possible:
- The leak still exists (watch your water consumption) and only a plumber and / or a company specializing in locating water leaks can help you.
- The coatings are impregnated with moisture and the only solution is to remove everything.
The presence of high humidity in one or more rooms is actually not desirable, especially for your daughter. Perhaps it's possible, while waiting for a solution, that your daughter avoids the relevant rooms? At first, you also could ventilate the romms to several times per day.
