- Hello, my five year old daughter underwent sweat test regarding permanent mucosity and the result was first 31, second 30. Does it mean that it is negative? Or should I ask for genetic testing. Thank You for an answer.

normal concentration of chlorides in sweat common varies between 10-30 mmol/l. It is very important, that this test is performed correct in a lab with enough experiences with this investigation. About genetic testing, a CF specialist in one of CF centres in Czech Republic (Prague, Brno, Pilsen, Hradec Kralove, Olomouc) should decide about necessity of genetic and other investigations. Your doctor who knowes Your situation the best should decide about sending You to a CF specialist.
