Paternity

Question: Hello, I want to ask if DNA test deny paternity and my daughter has CF, is it possible that these tests are not 100% sure and that testing person still can be a father of this child??
Answer: Hello, genetic testing for paternity and genetic testing for CF are totally different investigations. If a correctly done genetic test refuses paternity, it is true, regardless the child has CF. In a child with determined CF diagnose, consequently both parents are tested for CF and it is also recommended to test extended relatives for CF.
This topic is very discrete and sensitive and I think that You should ask Your specialist or genetic consultant who can explain and answer all Your questions.
