Elimination of Pseudomonas in the pool by adding chlorine?

- Hello,
My sister in law has her own pool. It is hardly chlorinated or rather unchlorinated.
Now I am thinking that probably Pseudomonas can be found in the pool. Is it possible to eliminate it by adding chlorine only once? Or does it stay in the pool and my son, 7 cf, should therefore stay outside of the pool?

Generally speaking there are no concerns regarding swimming pools if they are chlorinated sufficiently or if other measures for germ reduction – like treatment with salt or ozone. However, if the pools was only chlorinated once or shows noticeable problems like unsufficient state of cleanness or care, one should be particularly cautious. In case of a private pool one should make sure that the pool was chlorinated sufficiently.
