Pseudomonas stutzeri was detected sparely in our daughter’s nose. What kind of treatment of this germ, when proven in the nose, do you suggest.

Pseumonas stutzeri is a germ that is widespread in the environment. For the first time it was described by Burri and Stutzer in 1895 and was later classified to the Pseudomonas genus. The germ is 1 - 3 μm long and 0.5 μm wide and presents approximately 1% of the non-aeruginosa types of pseudomonads (Bauernfeind, Cystische Fibrose, Springer 2001).
The virulence of the bacteria is low, i.e., the colonisation with P. stutzeri usually causes no harm or relatively small harm. Complications that could be related to the germ were only described for patients with severe health problems like immune deficiency.
On the basis of the current data the colonisation with P. stutzeri (like for most other pseudomonas species genera and in opposition to a colonisation with P. aeruginosa) usually does not require a special therapy.
