- diagnosis exclusion
- Hello, I would like to know if there is any test that would exclude for 100% the existence of the disease. For example, a genetic test done for one parent, if it is negative, it is sure that baby can not have the disease. If there is a test please tell me witch one it is. Thanks

- Testing of eldest child
- My second child has CF. Is there a chance that my eldest child has it too? It is 10 years old now and we visit the pediatrician just for vaccinations. Up to what age may CF be manifested? Should I do a sweat test to my eldest child? If it is a carrier, can I find this out easily? Is there a chance ...

- Doubtful sweat tests
- I have two daughters, 4 and 6 years old. Both are carriers of the W1282X CF, mutation, as I am, whilst my husband is negative. Their health in general is good. The values of their sweat tests are borderline. The older one has been tested 3 times (values 25.2-55.5-38.3), and the younger one twice ...

- Cystic Fibrosis and carriers screening
- Hello, Why is it not done automatically as toxoplasmosis or rubella, a search for future young parents (no history in the family) that would check if they are carriers of the gene or not? I think it would be less expensive for the Health Insurance Coverage than paying a lifetime to care for a sick ...
